Pushing the limits of Micropolished Stainless Tubing
Advancements in medical technology are moving at a rapid pace, with industry pushing the limits in microfluidics, drug delivery, stem cell research, and more. Likewise, there is an ever growing need to innovate in our manufacturing processes to pave the way for new innovations. With proprietary, ultra fine polishing processes, we provide micropolished stainless tubing with extreme smoothness to meet the latest demands of the medical industry and open up new frontiers for medical applications.
Extremely Smooth Micropolished Stainless Tubing IDs
Our standard tubing surfaces are consistency drawn with a surface roughness of 0.34μm (Ra). That’s already as smooth as most traditional polishing processes! However, many new innovations in the medical field have challenged us to go a step further. Hence, with added nano-polishing, stainless tubing surface IDs are as smooth as 0.02μm (Ra). Furthermore, overall roughness maximum height is as low as 0.2μm (Ry) – that’s about 400x smaller than a human hair!
With added nano-polishing, stainless tubing surface IDs are as smooth as 0.2μm (Ry) – that’s about 400x smaller than a human hair!
